Communication
Today let's talk communications. Starting from the clients point of view. As a client your trainer should be there to encourage, motivate and push. Positive encouragement is the norm but negative motivation can be used as well. Whatever it takes to help our clients achieve their best workout is what we as trainers should be doing for our clients. after all, the increased health and fitness of our clients is why we have jobs and why we do what we do. Now as trainers, this is a mandatory requirement, be an ACTIVE participant with your client or group of clients. This does not mean do the whole workout with them. If that is the case then you are their workout partner so why should they pay you. but instead be on the ground with them, do an exercise here and there with them, get down in the mud if need be. Whatever your client needs to be pushed while knowing their trainer is helping to bring out their effort. So, don't talk on your phone, eat your lunch, go talk to a friend, go more than 5 minutes without verbally letting your client know that you are here to get every last bit of effort out of them and that is why they are paying you and willingly so at that.
